The completely new 2023 Ford Taurus has undergone rigorous testing in the Middle East in preparation for its upcoming launch, although it remains under wraps for the time being. Even with the high temperatures outside, the interior of the Ford Taurus is designed to provide a comfortable experience, thanks to the extensive evaluations the vehicle undergoes before it hits the market.
Ford boasts a wide array of testing facilities globally, where vehicles are subjected to both extreme and everyday conditions. In locations such as Thailand, India, Australia, and China – where the new Taurus is manufactured – Ford’s vehicles are thoroughly tested to meet the Blue Oval’s stringent world-class standards.
Specifically addressing the often harsh heat of the Middle East, the engineering team at Ford’s Product Development center in Dubai benefits from ambient temperatures reaching up to 50 degrees Celsius, allowing them to conduct hot-weather tests on the Taurus in real-world conditions that are truly unique.
Ford’s flagship sedan has seen remarkable popularity in recent years, becoming the brand’s top-selling model in the region for the past five years. With a striking new design, it is anticipated that this success will continue. Last year, the Taurus excelled in the UAE’s Mid-Size Saloon category, achieving an impressive 527 percent growth year-on-year for the nameplate. In Saudi Arabia, sales increased by over 73 percent across the kingdom, while Kuwait experienced a 125 percent rise. Additionally, Oman (63 percent) and Bahrain (42 percent) also reported positive sales figures.
Featuring a panoramic sunroof and three options for alloy wheel sizes, the Taurus boasts a robust and efficient 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, which is controlled via a sleek rotary gear shifter located on the center console. This vehicle offers more of what large sedan buyers seek. The driver assist technologies encompass adaptive cruise control, a collision mitigation system, and blind spot intervention (BLIS). Inside, you'll find wireless charging and a remarkable 13.2-inch center screen that supports both Apple Car Play and Android Auto, complemented by an 8-inch digital cluster display, ensuring that tech enthusiasts are well accommodated. The all-new Ford Taurus, a leader in its segment, will soon be available in Middle East showrooms, showcasing its modern design, powerful turbocharged engine, distinctive regional premium features, and sought-after technologies.
